Your Dream Is Possible

Sometime ago I read about the mind blowing story of William Kamkwaba and would like to share it with you. William Kamkwamba is a a Malawian who was forced to drop out of school at age 14, because his family could not afford the school fees, the equivalent of £50. Having dropped out of school, he returned to his father’s farmland where he worked most of the day. In 2001, Malawi was hit with the worst feminine the country had ever experienced and within months, Malawians began to die as a result of starvation. William and his family came close to the brink of starvation, only surviving on one meal a day which was eaten at night. Nsima, as it is called consisted of only maize.

Looking at his father and those dried fields, and the despair life handed them, he said ‘it was a future I couldn't accept”. Determined to change his situation and that of his village, William started to study at a local library.  Picking interest in science, he learnt that a windmill could pump water and provide electricity and so he decided he wanted to have one for himself. He worked with whatever raw material he could find. At some point the villagers were perplexed as William spent a lot time scouring rubbish tips and his mum thought he was either crazy or smoking marijuana.  After spending evenings working under a paraffin lamp, knocking together a turbine from spare bicycle parts, a tractor fan blade, an old shock absorber, and fashioned blades he built a windmill.

Having successfully built the wind mill, he was able to provide electricity and water for his family and village. Thus stalling the effects of famine and providing a better life for his community. As a result of his die hard spirit and success, William has been feted by business leaders the world over.

If William beat the odds (starvation, famine, death, financially broke, school drop out, no electricity or water) to create a life of his dreams, it's possible for you. Your dream is not too "crazy" or too big. You can make it. I believe in You.

P.S
Look out for my new cd: "You Can Live Your Dreams". I'll show you how to achieve your dreams and why it's necessary.
