Have you had a situation so tough, you literally thought you would crush under its weight. You did all you could but nothing changed; the situation didn’t get any better instead it got worst. Maybe it’s a situation that’s outside your control.
My question to you is: what are you going to do? Would you give up and throw in the towel? Or would you hang in there? If you’ve lost a job, would you give up after months of trying, if you are hoping to meet the right person, would you give up after failed relationships, would you give up on that dream job because you tried over and again but have been unable to secure it?
I read the story of William Kamkwamba; against a backdrop of famine, having dropped out of school at 14 for lack of fees and at the brink of death, refusing the option life lent him; he created an exceptional life. Picking interest in science, he learnt that a windmill could pump water and provide electricity so he decided he wanted to have one for himself. After spending evenings working under a paraffin lamp, knocking together a turbine from spare bicycle parts, a tractor fan blade, an old shock absorber, and fashioned blades he built a windmill.
Having successfully built the wind mill, he was able to provide electricity and water for his family and village. As a result of his die hard spirit and success, William has been feted by business leaders the world over. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/8257153.stm.
If you’re in a difficult situation, hang in there. There’s a phrase which says” it would be alright in the end”. So if it’s not alright, it’s not the end. The only way you can make that happen is by hanging in there.
